"The betterment of the world can be accomplished through pure and goodly deeds, through commendable and seemly conduct".

The Sacred Writings of the Bahá’í Faith

We care about the people and resources around us - not only in our immediate vicinity but also throughout the world.  In our own small way, we strive to make the world healthier and more inhabitable.  The management and employees of Tiba Medical are passionate about giving back to society by sharing our resources to make the world a better place.

Tiba Medical's Commitment to the Environment

Our product development and engineering teams spend considerable time evaluating and mitigating environmental risks associated with our products.  An important consideration is a zero-tolerance policy towards use of any hazardous or toxic substances in our products.

A number of directives and legislation, including European Directive 2002/95/EC for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), are designed to tackle the increasing challenges that such hazardous substances and waste present to our environment.

While medical devices are generally exempt from such directives and legislation at this time, Tiba Medical is committed to the safekeeping of our environment and has instituted design and manufacturing processes that assure compliance with the RoHS and WEEE directives for all products.

Our products, including all parts, accessories and packaging, meet the RoHS and WEEE guidelines. No part of the electronics, mechanical assemblies or accessories of our products contain any of the following hazardous substances:

  • Lead
  • Mercury
  • Hexavalent Chromium
  • Cadmium
  • Polybrominated Biphenyls
  • Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether
  • Pentabromodiphenyl ether (PentaBDE)
  • Octabromodiphenyl ether (OctaBDE)

In addition, when products outlive their usefulness, Tiba Medical will gladly receive them back and have them processed through the proper avenues for safe and efficient recycling.
